BRIDGEPORT HIGH SCHOOL: 46

The Mohigans were seeking redemption Wednesday night with a marquee matchup against Bridgeport.  The Indians won the first meeting in Harrison County by a score of 46-43 in December.  Bridgeport led most of the contest, and it took a fourth quarter rally to extend the game into overtime.  In the extra session, Morgantown dominated 7-0 and prevailed with a 53-46 victory.  Ben Rosiello knocked down four shots from behind the arc in the second half to lead the Mohigans with 15 points.  Alex Rudy and Aidan Wilson chipped in 10 apiece.  Morgantown finishes the season with an impressive 14-3 record.

The freshman went undefeated at home and prevailed against every team on the schedule.  Each and every member of the team contributed throughout the season.  The Mohigans, without a doubt, were “12 strong!” Mac McMillen led the team in scoring and rebounding throughout the year. His best performance came at University where he scored 28 points.  Rudy was the point guard and led the group in assists.  His season high was seven at Wheeling Park while only committing one turnover. Wilson was a fine rim protector averaging three blocks per game.  Antonio Rollo served as a team captain and provided leadership.  He led the way with 13 markers at North Marion. Seth Goins scored 14 points in a thrilling home victory against Wheeling Park.  Nate Wimer was the defensive stopper throughout and always drew the opponent’s best player. He had five takeaways at Parkersburg South. John Bohon was a starter in preseason before suffering a fractured ankle prior to the first game.  He ended the season impressively while providing a spark off the bench.  Rosiello’s career high of 19 tallies came in a come-from-behind win against Steubenville. Preston Brock was the ultimate teammate and always performed when his number was called.  He had 10 points at North Marion.  Bryce Wimmer was a tenacious defender and had four steals against Brooke.  Chris Burke provided depth at the center position.  He brought down four rebounds in a monumental home victory against Martinsburg.  Seth Dorkins was a versatile player and his athleticism allowed him to play many positions.  He scored 11 markers against Brooke while bringing down six rebounds.  The Mohigans were coached by Nate Tallman and assisted by Ray White and Chad Johnson.
